Job Description: IBPS PO (Probationary Officer)

About the Role

A Probationary Officer (PO) is an entry-level position in a bank, selected through the IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) examination process. As a PO, you will undergo a rigorous training period, where you will learn about various banking operations, policies, and customer service practices. This role serves as a stepping stone to higher managerial positions in the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service:

Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS PO typically involves three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination:
    • Objective type exam with sections on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
  2. Main Examination:
    • Objective and descriptive type exam with sections on Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and a descriptive test (Letter Writing & Essay).
  3. Interview:
    • Candidates who qualify the main exam are called for a personal interview to assess their suitability for the role.
